With over 10 years experience, Jane started her career in Human Resources working in Wellington – across private, public and tertiary environments, which has enabled her to experience a diverse range of businesses and related issues. Jane was fortunate that while studying, she was able to work in her chosen field alongside. Jane now holds a Bachelor of Commerce & Administration, with First Class Honours, from Victoria University in Management and Human Resources and a Graduate Diploma Professional Practice in Occupational Health & Safety.

In recent years, Jane has moved to more provincial areas, and her focus has moved from larger business to concentrating on smaller businesses. She understands the time pressure small businesses are under and enjoys the opportunity to lessen the load. Jane loves the opportunity to partner with a small business owner and work together to come up with solutions based on good practice. No matter what the solution is, it is about adding value to the business – seeing a return on the time spent.

Health & Safety is an area where Jane really sees that value added – ensuring that small businesses have the correct processes in place to not only meet legislative requirements but more importantly, focus on getting everyone home safe at the end of the day, leads to a more sustainable, efficient workplace with healthy staff.

Jane is a highly organised individual who enjoys building solid working relationships – with a determination to continuously seek ways to improve business performance and identify business opportunities. Her main passions are with employee retention, occupational health and learning & development.

Away from work, Jane enjoys spending time with her husband and young children.


Gill Pidgeon

Health & Safety Advisor

Gill’s Health & Safety career began whilst working as a Glacier/Alpine Trekking Guide in the ever-changing alpine environments of South Westland, New Zealand. Managing extremely significant daily risks in a realistic fashion became a way of life for Gill in order to “get the job done” whilst keeping large numbers of people safe at all times.

Gill’s keen interest and passion for Health & Safety saw her become the guiding company’s Health & Safety administrator and co-ordinator. She was tasked with implementing and maintaining safety systems to keep both staff and clients safe during any part of their involvement within the company. Gill was also required to maintain Health & Safety documentation at an extremely high standard in order to pass regular Qualmark auditing.

Previous to employment with Compliance Partners Gill was involved in establishing Health & Safety procedures for farming enterprises, plumbing businesses and an outdoor high ropes course.

Gill loves to help create, and maintain, safe workplaces that remain both efficient and harmonious. She believes the key to achieving this is by implementing safety systems that are realistic to the working environment.

Gill has been based in Geraldine for the past 11 years. Currently she is enjoying rural life managing a lifestyle block with her husband and their two children.
